Mother's Weekend

This weekend was the best. Walter and I both felt that it seemed longer than usual, my guess is because we packed a lot in. We had a great time with the kids.
On Saturday we wanted to spend the day in the sun, so we headed to Blue Lake. As a child Blue Lake used to shut down every Summer because there were kids pooping in the water...it seems to be better taken care of now. They have a spray ground for everyone (with chlorinated water) and the lake that only people over 5 years can go in. We always get there early and pick a spot right in the middle so the kids can go in both directions. We packed a cooler full if lunch and water and just made a day of it...good people watching too! After sunning all day we had dinner and Walter took the kids home to be with their mom. It was the first Mother's Day in years that we didn't have them, it seemed strange not being with them.
I woke up this morning with Felix telling me, "Happy Modder's Day." I love my baby to pieces! Walter and I created a very sweet, caring and loving little boy. We had a picnic lunch at Washington Park, played in the grass and ate Sno Cones. We bought Felix a new swimming pool and bought ourselves a new BBQ! A dinner celebration with Mor Mor, GG and Aunt Mad was the ending to our very fun day!
Being a mother is my favorite job in the world and I have my best friend to share parenting with! Walter really knows how to make me feel special. I love all the mom's in my life and hope your day was filled with love!
